OX-HAIR:

Ox hair is from the ears of oxen, which are found in central Europe, Swiss Alps, South America and other level mountainous regions. These hairs are found in many colors, ranging from black to brown to varied shades of red. You may notice the tem “light” or “dark” ox in the description of the brush many times. The better grades are excellent for sign writing brushes, sword stripers and single stroke brushes.
